Demountable CARRYMORE™ Microbulk
M1Engineering’s latest demountable CARRYMORE™ Microbulk range is helping customers improve the efficiency of their operation and reduce the whole life costs of their distribution equipment. The complete cryogenic vessel, along with piping, cabinet, pump system and other ancillary equipment is manufactured onto a skid frame which is then quickly and easily mounted to the vehicle chassis via standard twist-lock connections.
The concept offers reduced lead times as the majority of the manufacturing process can be completed independently of, and prior to, receiving the vehicle chassis. In some cases, customers are choosing to twist-lock mount their new skid CARRYMORE™ Microbulk units to their chassis locally in the country of operation which further saves cost and time. In addition to the benefit of the reduced time to mount the vessel to the chassis, the approval of the whole vehicle is much faster due to the vessel and chassis having their own individual ADR approvals – this allows the unit to enter service much quicker after taking delivery of the vessel.
With the ease of demounting the vessel from the chassis onto temporary storage legs, customers can also have the flexibility of using a single chassis for multiple product vessel deliveries to help reduce the overall number of vehicles in the their fleet. Furthermore, the vessel can be quickly mounted onto a new chassis in the event of an automotive vehicle repair to reduce vessel downtime. Significant cost savings will also be achieved at the end of the life of the vehicle chassis through the speed and ease of switching the skid mounted vessel onto a new chassis.
